3000 Tesla Model 3s a week will arrive by ship to Europe starting in February

Unlike what happened in the United States, the volume of Model 3 deliveries per week in Europe will be high and stable from day one.

It's been just over a week since Tesla Model 3 configurator opened in Europe so that, in this way, those who have a reservation can start placing the first orders, which will allow them to finally launch their new vehicles in just over two months.

If everything goes according to plan, towards the end of February or beginning of MarchTesla will begin delivering the first units of the Model 3 in Europe and, little by little, it will become more or less common to come across one of them on any European highway, or even on the street.

To make this possible, Tesla is already preparing everything months before the Model 3 arrives in Europe.

3000 Model 3s a week heading to Europe

International Car Operators (ICO), a company specializing in the unloading and storage of goods that works in the Belgian port of Zeebrugge, assures that They expect to receive 3000 Model 3s per week starting in February.Tesla has chosen this port in Belgium as the destination for ships loaded with new Model 3s that will leave the California plant.

The truth is that this volume of shipments is quite high, but fits perfectly with the production and demand data that we knowTesla recently achieved its goal of producing 7000 Model 3 units per week, and now the new challenge facing the company is to be able to maintain this figure. If we take into account that the demand for the Model 3 in the United States is about 4000 vehicles per week, those 3000 Model 3s that will arrive at the Belgian port for the European market add up to a total production of 7000 Model 3s per week.

This means that, contrary to what happened during the first months after the launch of the Model 3 in the United States, Delivery volumes in Europe will be high and stable from day one.

The arrival of the Model 3 will create jobs in the Belgian port

According to the medium Focus WTV, the agreement that this company based in the Belgian port of Zeebrugge has reached with Tesla, will allow the creation of more than 100 jobsThe Model 3s arriving in Belgium will have to undergo a final check and some extras will be added before being delivered. To carry out this work, ICO has invested 2.5 million euros in the port facilities and has already begun the process of recruiting new staff.

The procedure chosen by Tesla to bring the Model 3 to European customers contrasts with that of the Model S and Model X. Thus, while the Model 3 will be manufactured in the United States and transported by ship to Europe, the Model S and Model X are assembled at the Tesla plant in Tilburg (Netherlands).
