Mazda announces the arrival of the Mazda CX-30 EV, the 100% electric variant for China
The electrical sector is seeking to become versatile in every sense, and to do so they need a foundation. This is something that is well known Mazda, a firm that has followed its own path to establish electric mobility with the MX-30, its first vehicle of this nature. It is true that the Japanese firm has also shown its commitment to the environment with mild-hybrid mechanics, but the truth is that they have wanted to go a step further with the Mazda CX-30 EV, the 100% electric version of the Japanese SUV that will be available in the Chinese market.
And the brand has taken advantage of the shanghai hall to present for the first time this variant of the CX-30, which will initially only be sold in China. In this way, Mazda is establishing itself more firmly in the electric car sector with the intention of promoting the use of this type of mechanics and expanding it throughout its range.
At an aesthetic level, there are very few changes that we find with respect to the combustion version of the SUV Japanese. And the only notable difference is in the ground clearance, which in this case is greater due to the batteries located in the underside of the car, seeking to create space and improve the centre of gravity.

The cabin has not been revealed, but the same configuration as in any other is expected. Mazda CX-30 except for the menus. And due to its new mechanical condition, a series of panels can be seen to offer pertinent information with the electrical diagram, as well as energy flow, retention, power supply and autonomy.
Performance has not been disclosed either, but everything points to synergy with the MX-30. This translates into an electric motor capable of producing 145 hp and 271 Nm of torque, figures that are associated with a battery capacity of 35,5 kWh. Performance and autonomy could vary with respect to its range brother due to factors such as weight or aerodynamics.
In any case, Mazda will soon reveal more details about the new Mazda CX-30 EV. Although it is true that everything points to the fact that it will not be coming to Europe, this does not prevent other models from following its strategy and ending up offering an electric version for the rest of the markets. Time will tell whether we are right or not.
