Consumer Reports gives a positive rating to its first contact with the Audi e-tron
Although we will still have to wait for the in-depth review of the Audi e-tron, the first impressions of Consumer Reports are very positive.
The Audi e-tron has reached the hands of Consumer Reports, the popular American magazine dedicated to the impartial analysis of all kinds of products, and its first conclusions seem to have been very positive.
Those in charge of carrying out this test were particularly impressed by the level of interior finish of the vehicle; as well as by Its extraordinary acoustic insulation, which allows you to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere even when driving on the highway at high speeds.

Consumer Reports Audi also highlights some of the e-tron's technological elements, such as its double central screen dedicated to the infotainment system. The haptic technology used by Audi in these screens has particularly attracted attention, being able to simulate the sensation of pressing a physical buttonHowever, CR notes that Audi's technology in the e-tron is sometimes unnecessarily complicated, citing its unintuitive gear selector as an example.
Consumer Reports gives the e-tron the thumbs up
As for acceleration, they consider it adequate, considering the segment it belongs to. Unlike other electric vehicles, CR claims that the e-tron does not go off the rails burning tires, but rather does so in a much calmer manner; something they consider normal in a luxury SUV. However, once the vehicle is already moving, The driver can always get the thrust he needs, at any speed, they say.
It is important to note, however, that these conclusions are the result of only a first contact and some aspects, such as the e-tron's fast charging, have not been evaluated. Although we will have to wait for the in-depth review to get a full analysis, Consumer Reports' first impressions are very positive, going so far as to say that the e-tron conveys a sense of maturity that exudes quality; which they consider to be probably due to the fact that Audi is a high-end vehicle manufacturer with many years of experience behind it.

We already tried it a month ago.
In case you haven't read it yet, don't forget that here in DrivingEco We also had the opportunity to test the e-tron and tell you our impressions.
Finally, it is striking that CR makes no mention of the delays in deliveries that many customers with a reservation in progress are experiencing, largely due to a problem detected by Audi in the sealing of the battery of some units. An incident on which we talked a few days ago and, as we told you, in extreme cases it could even cause the vehicle to catch fire.
