The interior of the Porsche Taycan will integrate up to five screens
In addition to the driver, both the passenger and rear seat occupants will have access to some vehicle functions on these screens.
Less than two weeks before the official presentation of the Taycan, Porsche has just unveiled at the blog Company New details on its first fully electric sports carAnd it is not just a vague image or a specific piece of data, as we might expect.
Porsche has revealed in depth what the interior of the Taycan will be like, without waiting until September 4th. The amount of information that has come to light would be enough for several entries in this blog; although we will try to summarize the most important things below.

First of all, we look at the vehicle's instrument panel, which has a clean, minimalist and above all modern appearance. The driver has all the information he needs at his disposal at all times, thanks to a large 16.8-inch curved screen.
The information you need when you need it
Porsche offers four different display configurations, which the driver can switch between at any time depending on their interests.
El classic mode, is inspired by the standard instrumentation that has been found in any Porsche for decades, replacing, however, the tachometer typical of a combustion engine vehicle with an electric motor power indicator.
As we have already seen in other Volkswagen Group vehicles, the Taycan will offer the possibility of show navigation map on one side of the screen; and even if desired, it will be possible to reduce the size of the other indicators to give it even greater prominence.
Additionally, Porsche has added another, much more minimalist screen mode for those drivers who only want to view essential vehicle information.
Touch controls at your fingertips
One last and interesting detail to note about this screen is that Porsche has included some touch controls on the edgeThis will make it possible, for example, to switch on the lights or change the suspension settings.

We now move on to the steering wheel, which offers a design similar to what we have already seen in other vehicles of the brand. Porsche claims, however, that It will be possible to choose between two different versions. So if you don't like the standard one you can opt for a much more aggressive GT sports version.
Further to the right we will find the central screen of 10.9 inches dedicated to the infotainment system. But it doesn't end here, as optionally Another screen can be integrated on the passenger sideIn this way, both screens are combined, covered under a dark glass panel, occupying the entire front of the dashboard.
Porsche has completely revamped the user interface of its system, giving it a modern appearance, which has also allowed it to reduce the number of physical buttons and levers on the centre console.
You won't find more screens in any other vehicle
These three screens, which we have already talked about, do not, however, end the total number of screens that we will find in the Taycan. And although two of them are optional, when they are included in the equipment We will enjoy a total of five screens inside the Taycan.

In the center console, the Taycan integrates an additional touch screen of 8.4 inches with haptic feedback. It is possible to adjust the climate control or enter information to navigate to a destination by writing on it with your finger.
The fifth screen is integrated into the rear seats and allows you to adjust the temperature if you have selected the optional four-zone climate control system. It has dimensions of 5.9 inches and also features haptic feedback.
Start button and gear selector behind the steering wheel
Finally, and to finish, in the Taycan the usual gear selector on the central console is replaced by a small lever located behind the steering wheel on the right side. On the left side we find the start/stop button. The Stuttgart firm has thus opted for a configuration similar to that of the Porsche 918.

Along with all this information officially revealed by Porsche, the photos published of the interior of the Taycan also allow us to guess some other secrets of the Taycan. Although we will leave that for a second entry that you can also read here at DrivingEco.
