Jaguar continues to renew its range, and after the new F-PACE, it's the turn of the E‑PACEThe compact SUV receives an update with minor changes to the exterior and interior design, a new multimedia system, chassis improvements and a renewed range of engines.

Now the new Jaguar E-PACE 2021 has MHEV microhybrid versions so much gasoline , the diesel (With eco label) and, for the first time, a PHEV plug-in hybrid variant (With ZERO label).

Small aesthetic details enhance the exterior image of the English SUV: new grille on the front, redesigned air intakes, new LED headlights standard across the range, dynamic indicators... At the rear, the bumper stands out with a new grille between the exhaust outlets, lights inspired by the I‑PACE electric and the possibility of equipping an optional package in black tones for a sportier appearance.

Much more interesting are the changes that the Jaguar E-PACE receives on the inside. Especially due to the incorporation of the Pivi Pro infotainment system, with the spectacular 11,4 inch curved touch screen and high definition. Not only is it almost 50% larger than the previous one. Its menu structure has been simplified to facilitate handling, and connectivity is ensured through a double SIM and two high-speed modems. This makes it possible, for example, to view multimedia content and at the same time download vehicle updates without having to go to an official dealer.

Other changes affect the gear selector lever, now with a much more compact design, allowing better access to the storage area located in front. This is where the wireless charger for mobile phonesThe new steering wheel is also inspired by the electric model, the I-PACE. Jaguar also announces that all materials have been renewed to reinforce the feeling of luxury and maximum quality.

Jaguar E-PACE MHEV versions: petrol and diesel

In addition to the PHEV plug-in hybrid, Jaguar offers the E-PACE with three diesel engines and four gasoline engines. Of all of them, the only one that does not have any type of hybridization is the 2.0 turbodiesel of 163 CV, associated with the 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. This same engine is offered with a 9-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and microhybridization 48 volt MHEV in 163 and 204 hp versions.

The four petrol variants have an MHEV system. Access to the petrol range is configured with the 1.5 three-cylinder 160 hp engine, only available with front-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic transmission. The other three versions are based on the 2.0 four-cylinder engine, and produce 200, 249 and 300 hp; all of them have all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Prices Prices for the Jaguar E-PACE start at €40.950 for the 2.0D 4×2 manual, €48.350 for the 2.0 hp 4 D MHEV automatic and 4×163, and from €52.200 for the most powerful diesel. In petrol, the 1.5 hp 3 I160 starts at €42.250. The 2.0 hp 4 I200 has a starting price of €50.400, while the 249 hp version starts at €55.050, and with 300 hp, only associated with the Sport finish, the price is €74.000.

The 2021 Jaguar E-PACE has also received chassis upgrades. Among the most important, All-wheel drive receives technology that allows the rear axle to be deactivated when not needed to save fuel, and can send up to 100% of the torque to either of the rear wheels thanks to new electronically controlled clutches.

JaguarDrive Control's Adaptive Surface Response mode replaces the previous Rain-Ice-Snow mode on 4x4 models, automatically adjusting to the surface conditions being driven on.

The Jaguar E-PACE P300e PHEV plug-in hybrid

At the E-PACE plug-in hybridand the same propulsion system that we have already seen in other Jaguar Land Rover models is used, such as the Range Rover Evoque PHEVIt combines the 1.5 3-cylinder 200 hp petrol engine with a 109 hp electric motor that is responsible for transmitting power to the rear axle wheels.

The system power is 309 hp, with a maximum torque of 540 Nm. Unlike the 4-cylinder petrol versions with MHEV system, the plug-in hybrid has an 8-speed gearbox.

The lithium-ion battery under the boot floor allows for a range in electric mode of 55 km, with a maximum speed of 135 km/h. It can be charged from a 2,3 kW domestic socket (about 5 hours to 80%), in a Wallbox at 7 kW (about an hour and a half, also up to 80%) and with direct current of 32 kW, which allows you to go from 0 to 80% of the charge in half an hour.

This version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6,5 seconds, and has a combined fuel consumption of 2 l/100 km. In addition to EV mode and Hybrid mode, it has a “SAVE” mode that maintains the battery charge, and allows you to recharge it on the go up to 85% in about 90 minutes.

El Jaguar F-PACE PHEV price It starts at 58.000 euros with the R-Dynamic S finish, making it 540 euros cheaper than the 2.0 hp 4 I200 with the same finish, as it benefits from being exempt from Registration Tax.
