The KIA EV9 is hinted at just days before its presentation

The Korean manufacturer plans to unveil what will be the company's flagship early this coming yearThe EV9 SUV will be based on the same E-GMP platform already used by the EV6, although the dimensions of this new model will be considerably larger.

Ahead of its official unveiling, KIA has just released a video that gives a glimpse of the design line of its new electric SUV; revealing part of its front, as well as the side profile of the vehicle. Curiously, this video has appeared on the company's Indian website, where it is also announced that it will be shown in full during the Auto Expo to be held in New Delhi. from the 12th to the 15th of this coming month of January.

It is not clear, however, whether the Korean manufacturer will use this event to officially present the EV9 worldwide or whether, on the contrary, it will only be shown there in advance for the Indian market, unveiling it globally days later.

What can we expect from this new electric SUV from the Korean manufacturer?

The production version of the KIA EV9 will maintain the design line of the prototype that we already know, although it will be somewhat less aggressive. The dimensions of the vehicle will also be very similar, with about 5 meters long and a wheelbase of just over three metres, which will allow it to enjoy enough space to accommodate three rows of seats. The abundant headroom for the occupants will also be one of its distinguishing features.

Being a much larger vehicle, it is expected to integrate a battery pack with a capacity greater than the 77.4 kWh of the rest of the group's models also based on the E-GMP platform. Some unconfirmed rumors indicate that both the EV9 and the future Hyundai IONIQ 7 could have a 100 kWh battery pack, which would allow them to offer a range of close to 500 km on a single charge.
