Mazda MX-30: free charging point and energy at €0,5/100 km
On the occasion of the launch of the new Mazda MX-30, the Japanese brand has reached an agreement with Iberdrola to offer a free Wallbox and competitive rates
El Mazda MX-30 already has a price and in the autumn it will begin to be delivered to the first customers who make their reservations in Spain. The good news is that Mazda has reached an agreement with Iberdrola so that the Japanese brand's customers can benefit from Iberdrola's “Electric Vehicle Plan”.
Among other things, this plan includes competitive advantages such as a tariff with an electricity price of 0,5€/100 km, according to the consumption approved by the Japanese electric SUV.
Free installation of the Wallbox
In addition, as part of a launch offer, customers who purchase the Mazda MX-30 will benefit from the free installation of a charging point at their home. Iberdrola will supply the Wallbox, Pulsar Plus model with a power of 7,4 kW. Mazda thus joins other brands that give away the installation of the charging point when buying one of its electric cars, as already announced Hyundai.

Mazda's first 100% electric vehicle is a SUV 4,4 meters long, 1,80 meters wide and 1,57 meters high, derived from the Mazda CX-30, and with its own design details such as some small rear doors that open in the opposite direction to the front doors. This system eliminates the central pillar, allowing easy access to the passenger compartment. To achieve this, the bodywork receives specific reinforcements.
Electric range of 200 km, future Range Extender version
Its electric motor produces 143 hp and the 35,5 kWh battery, located under the floor, allows for announcing a autonomy which falls far short of what its rivals offer, although Mazda claims it is sufficient for the type of use its customers will make of it. Among its main alternatives is the Kia e-Niro, Peugeot e-2008 or Hyundai Kona EV.

At least for now, Mazda will not offer versions with higher-capacity batteries. Later, a new version will be offered. version equipped with Range Extender, which will have a rotary gasoline engine to operate stationary (without moving the wheels) generating electricity on board to increase autonomy.
