Porsche to increase Taycan production as demand forecasts rise
Demand for the Taycan is quite good in some markets where it is already possible to reserve a car by paying a deposit.
Porsche plans to market its first vehicle with a fully electric drive system at the end of next year. As many of you already know, this is the Taycan. A supercar with which, according to the German manufacturer itself, its lucky owners will not have to give up anything at all, Because above all it will be a real Porsche.
With almost a year to go before the first units are sold on European and other world motorways, sales forecasts for the Taycan seem to be really good. So much so that company sources have confirmed that They are going to increase the production of the Taycan above what was initially planned.

This increase in production would also include the Cross Turismo version.
Porsche announced some time ago that the planned production of the Taycan would reach 20 thousand units per yearAlthough the number of additional units that this planned increase in production will translate into has not yet been specified, what is clear is that annual production will have to exceed these 20 thousand units.
The Porsche statement is, in any case, somewhat confusing. Apparently this increase in production It would also include the units produced of the Cross Turismo version. Porsche recently gave the go-ahead at the start of production of this version, currently known as Mission E Cross Turismo.

The Mission E Cross Turismo is a crossover version of the Taycan, not as sporty, which has many elements in common with it, both in design and components. This version is better adapted to the needs of a greater number of potential buyers, so its demand should be higher than that of the Taycan.
Good reception in some markets
The increase in production plans for the Taycan is likely to be a result of the positive reception it has had in some markets such as Norway, where it is now possible to reserve the car. In this Nordic country, Porsche would already have 3000 reservations for the Taycan which require a deposit. A fairly high figure if we take into account that Porsche currently sells around 600 vehicles a year in this market. Data such as this are what have led to the increase in demand forecasts.

The Porsche Taycan will offer a range of over 1000 km. 400 km and will have an ultra-fast charging system at 800 V that will allow it to recharge 80 percent battery in just 15 minutesThe battery cooling system will also allow it to maintain high speeds for long periods of time, which is essential to compete with its combustion engine rivals on the famous German autobahns. The maximum speed will, however, be limited to 250 km/h.
