Skoda Vision RS: a plug-in hybrid prototype with 245 hp

Next week will be presented the Škoda Vision RS at the Paris Motor Show, a plug-in hybrid prototype that reminds us of its sports approach to a car that stopped being produced a few months ago, the Volkswagen Scirocco (especially for its rear and side silhouette).
Hybrid engine with 245 hp
The Škoda Vision RS incorporates a 1.5 litre TSI petrol engine which produces 150 hp of power. The combustion engine is assisted by an electric one that develops 102 hp, so the Combined power output rises to 245 hp. Thanks to these features the car is able to reach the 100 km / h in 7,1 seconds, while its recovery from 80 to 120 km/h is 8,9 seconds.

70 km of electric autonomy
The Škoda prototype features a Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 13 kWh, allowing the vehicle to reach a 100% electric range of up to 70 km. The battery can be fully recharged in 2,5 hours via domestic charging (house socket). The car can also be partially recharged while driving thanks to regenerative braking.

Design: exclusive paintings
The body of the Skoda Vision RS is characterized by its Xirallic crystal sparkle effect gloss white paint. This shade contrasts with numerous carbon fiber finished elements such as the radiator, front and rear bumpers, exterior mirrors, side sills, air intakes and outlets and the rear diffuser.

Sustainable construction: vegan materials
The interior of the Skoda Vision RS stands out for the use of sustainable materials. The upper part of the seats is covered with Alcantara, while the rest of the upholstery is made of 100% recycled polyester yarnThe mats, for their part, are made of a Piñatex carbon fabric, a high-performance material that extracts its fibers from pineapple leaves.
