SsangYong Tivoli Grand, the XLV from before, joins the SUV family while maintaining the ECO label

Since 2016, the SsangYong XLV has been the longest body variant of the SsangYong Tivoli. In fact, the twinning between models was such that, finally, from now on, the XLV is redefined, shedding its nomenclature as XLV to be integrated into the Tivoli's own catalogue but adding the term Grand as a distinctive between the short and long body, that is, as SsangYong Tivoli Grand.

Together with this nominative specification, the real differentiation between the ssangyong tivoli and the new SsangYong Tivoli Grand is the dimensions.

As we indicated, the body of the first one is set at a length of 4,23 meters, a width of 1,81 and a height of 1,62 meters, offering a wheelbase of 2,6 meters. Now, the one marketed as SsangYong Tivoli Grand and which assumes the aforementioned commercial replacement of the XLV should maintain the same measures as the aforementioned XLV, that is, 4,4 metres long, 1,78 metres wide and 1,6 metres high, maintaining the same wheelbase, the same number of approved seats, that is, up to a maximum of 5 occupants.

The most plausible differences in their use come from the available cargo space, or what is the same, the SsangYong Tivoli Grand trunk volume compared to the compact body. As expected, the 720 litres of volume offered by the XLV are maintained, compared to the 423 of the standard Tivoli, or the 1.440 when the backrests of the second row of seats are folded down in the first row, compared to the 1.115 of the second. Likewise, it will offer an interior space of up to 1.879 millimetres for the storage of belongings, packages or any belongings of length in this last configuration of its seats.

Now, as the Tivoli did, the SsangYong Tivoli Grand will have the ECO label in the variants that equip the 1.5-liter bifuel engine powered by gasoline or liquefied petroleum gas, that is, LPG, which allows it to show off the DGT ECO labelThe four-cylinder turbo engine is capable of running on either fuel.

Likewise, the SsangYong Tivoli Grand will be standard in the four finishes with the SsangYong SASS Advanced Safety System, which includes AEBS, Automatic Emergency Braking System, Lane Departure Warning System, Lane Keeping System, Vehicle Ahead Warning System, Fatigue Warning System and Safety Distance Alert System.

In the absence of confirmation of the signature, we understand that the SsangYong Tivoli Grand price will maintain that of the XLV, so in its most basic finish and gasoline engine, it will start at around 16.000 euros and rise to around 25.000 for the top of the range, to which must be added the cost of the LPG kit.
