VW to use another plant in Dresden for ID.3 production
The Gläserne Manufaktur plant in Dresden is scheduled to start production of the Volkswagen ID.3 at the end of next year.
Earlier this month of November Volkswagen announced the start of production of the ID.3. The German firm had completely renovated the Zwickau plant, previously dedicated to the production of combustion engine vehicles, with the intention of producing electric vehicles based on the MEB platform.
The Zwickau plant thus became a key element in the German manufacturer's current strategy for facing the next decade, which involves the electrification of its entire range; including the launch of a good number of models from the ID.100 family that are 100% electric.
